215 – Western Comedies

What do you get when you cross a western with a comedy? A Womedy? A Cestern? Nope. You get this weeks show!

We thought about what movie could compare to the classic Blazing Saddles and it really wasn’t that much of a challenge. Who could match up to the off-the-wall style of Mel Brooks? Seth MacFarlane, that’s who!

The boys from ’40 Going On 14′ and having a showdown between ‘Blazing Saddles’ and ‘A Million Ways To Die In The West’. They’re coming out guns drawn and you’ll have to listen, to see who’s left standing. From the infamous “campfire scene” to the Easter eggs that Seth MacFarlane has hidden through his movie, we look at the irreverent and often times gross out humor of two comedy legends!

It’s westward ho, as it’s almost high noon! Giddy up!

137 – Pee Wee’s Big Movies!

If you grew up in the late 80’s and early 90’s, then Pee-wee Herman is a name you’ll already be familiar with. A man-child in a gray suit and a red bow tie. The poster child for kitschy pop culture propaganda.

This week, we’re spending some time with the original Tim Burton classic, ‘Pee-wee’s Big Adventure’ and then following it up with the Netflix original film, ‘Pee-wee’s Big Holiday’!

We can already tell the Pee-wee is buzzing with excitement, right Pee-wee?

I know you are, but what am I?

86 – Stand Up Comedy!

What’s the deal with 40 Going On 14?

Yeah, that’s really all I had at the outset, not really funny at all. But you know what’s really funny? Stand up comedy! Yep. We take a turn on stage this week talking about the comedians from out past that we loved, George Carlin, Robin Williams, Don Rickles, just to name a few. (If you don’t know who Don Rickles is go look him up you hockey puck!) Then we take a gander at the comedy styling of Louis CK,¬†Patton Oswalt, and¬†John Mulaney.
